What You Need: Find some theme music, a sombrero for every three people, and an open space.

Spread out the sombreros on the floor or grass and assign three kids to each hat. Explain to the contestants that they are to dance their most creative version of the Mexican Hat Dance while the music is playing. When the music stops, the kids are to strike an inspired pose. Ole! Judges can tap kids on the shoulder and call them “out” if they do not stop when the music stops, or if their dance moves are just not moving enough for the crowd.
