Easter Egg Hunt – Resurrection Eggs

Easter Egg HuntWe all know how fun it is to hunt for treat-filled plastic eggs on Easter morning. Why not lead your kids on a faith-filled Easter egg hunt this year--one that teaches them about Jesus' death and resurrection!

Indoors/Outdoors

What You Need: Tons of Easter eggs filled with fun stuff (money, candy, stickers), set of Resurrection Eggs, baskets, a Storyteller

You can either purchase the traditional Resurrection Eggs from Familylife.com or make your own (directions below). Then hide them along with your regular family Easter egg hunt. Each egg carton is filled with a dozen colorful plastic eggs filled with the symbols of the Easter story inside. Once all the eggs have been found, have all your participants sit together on the grass or carpet while the Storyteller takes them through the story of Easter.

The Storyteller will ask who found each of the colored eggs from the Resurrection Egg carton. They will go through the parts of the story as the child holds up the symbol of Easter they found in their plastic egg. This is a great way to bring children and adults alike together for a fun and faith-centered Easter egg hunt and celebration.

To purchase Resurrection Eggs go to www.familylife.com

To make your own, go to http://rainbowcastle.org/resurrectioneggs.html for directions.
